Richard Burton Virtual Tour

Join us for a virtual tour of the Richard Burton Trails.

From the accessible and comfortable surroundings of the Gwyn Hall, our official Tour Guide – Griff Harries, will take you on a fascinating journey around Pontrhydyfen and Taibach. You’ll learn how the landscape and the communities of these villages shaped the young Richard Walter Jenkins into the international acting star Richard Burton.

Although his star may be found on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Richard Burton’s heart always remained in Neath Port Talbot.

The event will include photos and videos from the tour locations, which will transport you right to Burton’s birthplace and his childhood haunts. Hear anecdotes about his early life, and see the locations which inspired him.

We are also delighted to welcome Bois Afan Male Voice Choir, who will give a short performance on the night.

Tickets are free and while everybody is welcome, we encourage attendance by those who cannot otherwise access the guided walking tours due to mobility needs along with their family and friends. There is plenty of aisle seating and tables are available for wheelchair users.

Doors open at 5:30 with the virtual tour starting at 6:30pm. The event will finish before 9:30pm.
