Immerse yourself in the dramatic legacy of Richard Burton’s career, at the rehearsed reading of 3 Knights, 2 Welshmen and a Dame. The reading will be performed at Bethel Chapel, in Burton’s birthplace of Pontrhydyfen, where his memorial was held.

Written by PT Rose, the play is based on Burton’s time filming Wagner. Set in an Austrian hotel room, the scenes chart Burton’s experience being ‘visited’ by his artistic heroes Dylan Thomas, Sir John Gielgud, Sir Ralph Richardson and Sir Laurence Olivier.

The Burton Bont Group event will include a special presentation as part of the Burton Bont Festival Heritage weekend, and a Q&A with Wagner’s director Tony Palmer.
