‘Poems for Rich’ Centenary Poems

Celebrate the Richard Burton Centenary by taking creative inspiration from the icon himself. ‘Poems for Rich’ Centenary Poems is an inclusive poetry initiative, inviting poets of all experiences and backgrounds to submit their original poetry for publication in in a digital anthology, a print collection, and as videopods.

The project has already welcomed over 70 poets to contribute over 100 poems from across the world, and submissions close on 1^st May 2025. Want to submit your poetry? Email karen@karenstruelwhite.com for details of how to take part.

‘Poems for Rich’ will be launched at the Dylan Thomas Theatre on 1^st August, starting at 5pm. Join us for poetry readings from the book, and a preview of the play ‘3 Knights, 2 Welshmen and a Dame.’ All proceeds from the book sales go to charity.

Aiming to build a vibrant poetry community of international writers, the Centenary Poems project begins during the RB100 celebrations and will continue to celebrate Centenarians at regular intervals.
